Meyda Tiffany Diente de Leon Table Lamp
Details
The Meyda Tiffany Diente de Leon Table Lamp, "dandelion" in Spanish, though the glass design reads more as sunflowers, is one of the most visually dramatic pieces in the Meyda catalog. Where most Tiffany lamps use light backgrounds that allow colors to glow through, the Diente de Leon reverses this: bold yellow and green sunflower blooms burst across a very dark, near-black background, creating a contrast that makes the lamp look like a lit painting of a garden at night. Bright red round berry jewels scattered through the design add further warmth against the dark ground.
The upper crown of the dome transitions to a lighter beige, giving the lamp visual breathing room at the top and ensuring the shade doesn't read as entirely dark when lit. A narrow ring of red jewel accents borders the upper zone. The base is a graceful bronze finished, with petal detailing at the foot. Warm, classical, and well-proportioned for the dramatic shade above.
A natural focal point for rooms with warm wood tones, or any space where a lamp needs to hold its own as a piece of decorative art. Accepts two 60-watt bulbs. Mahogany Bronze finished base. Handcrafted by Meyda Tiffany using the copper foil method.
